MATHSALIDA: It’s effects to Pupils Performance in
Math

Abstract
The study was made to investigate
the effects MATHSALIDA on pupils’ performance in problem solving skills . It is
a quantitative study to address the pupils’ low performance in Mathematics in
Yumbing Elementary Grade VI pupils. The subjects of the study were the Grade
Six pupils of Yumbing Elementary School with difficulty in problem solving as
identified through in interview using Newman’s Procedure . Pre-test and
Post-test results of the Regional Achievement Test were used to determine the
effects of MATHSALIDA.
The data gathered were analyzed
quantitatively using t-test. Results showed that MATHSALIDA has a significant
effects on pupils’ performance. Application of t-test analysis revealed that
there is a significant difference at .05 critical T-value .With this , it is
recommended that further action research using MATHSALIDA may be conducted to another school to have a
positive reinforcement to figure if the result would still be the same.
